PRP for Hair Loss: Does It Really Work?

How PRP hair restoration works

PRP stands for platelet-rich plasma. We draw a small sample of your blood, concentrate the platelets — which are rich in growth factors — and inject that plasma into the areas of the scalp where hair is thinning. The goal is to support the follicles, encourage healthier growth, and slow further thinning.

Does it actually work?

PRP tends to work best early — when follicles are thinning but not yet gone — and for certain patterns of hair loss. It's not magic, and it's not right for everyone; someone with fully dormant follicles or a different underlying cause may need a different approach. That's why an honest evaluation matters more than a sales pitch. We'll tell you if you're a good candidate and if you're not.

What to expect

• An initial series of treatments, usually spaced a few weeks apart
• Maintenance sessions afterward to sustain results
• Gradual changes over several months (hair grows slowly)
• Little to no downtime
